Tyson Fury pretended to see stars and stumble around the ring after being accidentally punched in the face in a sparring session.

The Gypsy King is out in Thailand and went up against all visitors on Saturday, with social media clips showing plenty of boxers were in line to face him in the public session.

But one of the sparring sessions took an unexpected turn, as Fury was accidentally punched in the face by one of his opponents.

Footage posted on Instagram showed Fury towering over the unknown boxer. But despite the height difference, the boxer hit Fury with a left handed body shot.

Leaning on his right foot, the power of the opponent’s punch lead to his right glove swinging up to make contact with Fury’s face.

The Gypsy King was taken by surprise despite it being a soft punch, and stood and paused for a moment with a blank expression, leaving his opponent waiting for his response.

Then, Fury started to pretend to have jelly legs, as if the punch had been much more powerful, and started to stagger around the ring.

First he fell into the ropes, before bouncing off them and wobbling to the opposite corner, leaving his opponent and those watching laughing.

But fans on Twitter were convinced Fury’s brief pause was him contemplating how to react to the punch before choosing to make a joke of it.

“There was a split second there, just a split second, before he starting joking that he was that, that Fury was p*****,” one wrote. “He definitely contemplated a solid jab for a moment.”

Meanwhile, another fan pointed out: “Seems funny but it’s no coincidence he got hit by a classic southpaw combination.”

A third boxing fan said: “Fury’s next opponent confirmed, here we go.”

Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, told talkSPORT the ‘Gypsy King’ would return to the ring in September following his hiatus, but his opponent has not yet been confirmed.

The chances of it being either Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk are highly unlikely, though, after Warren insisted that both are simply chasing money in Saudi Arabia.
