Twitter Trolls Rishabh Pant Over His Signature On Nathan Lyon’s Team India Jersey

Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been the talk of the town ever since his match-winning innings in the final Test in Brisbane. His unbeaten 89 helped India chase down 328 needed to win on the final day of the match. Upon his return to India and after a much-needed break he is now in Chennai with Team India ahead of the first Test He has very quickly won the nod of the first-choice wicket-keeper in the Indian Test team.

Meanwhile, he is heavily trolled on Twitter over his signature on the Team India jersey gifted by the Indian team to Nathan Lyon. It was a nice and warm gesture by Ajinkya Rahane’e men to honour the Australian off-spinner on his 100th Test in Brisbane.

Though the Aussies lost the match, Team India’s gesture won the hearts of the Australian fans including Lyon’s. He posted a thank you message for the team on his Instagram handle as well. 

Meanwhile, seeing Rishabh Pant’s quirky signature on the Team India jersey, a host of Indian cricket fans took on to Twitter and poked fun at his signature style.

On the other end, he is preparing himself for the upcoming home series against England which starts from February 05.

England will face the Asian giants in a series across formats starting from February 5. Both teams will lock horns in a four-match Test series as a part of the ICC World Test Championship followed by 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs. Chennai will host the first two Tests before both teams move to Ahmedabad for the last two Tests and the five T20Is.

Following their stay in Ahmedabad, both teams will shift their base to Pune for the final leg of the tour where they play three ODIs before returning to England.

England are heading into the series after clean sweeping Sri Lanka in the two-Test match series at Galle. They are fourth on the World Test Championship points table. In their last tour to India in 2016-17, they lost the Test series 4-0 to Virat Kohli’s men.
