Tencent Unveils 45 New Titles and Updates at ‘SPARK 2026’

On May 27, Tencent Games held its annual showcase, ‘SPARK 2026,’ to reveal major new titles and updates for both global and Chinese markets.

The event featured a total of 45 content projects across development, publishing, and investment, while also announcing strategies for new IP collaborations and the expansion of technology-driven interactive experiences.

Tencent highlighted global IP expansion, immersive experiences, and advancements in AI and rendering technology as key themes. The showcase featured a diverse range of genres, including live performances, open-world survival games, PvPvE shooters, ink-wash style RPGs, and motion-sensing dance games.

Key titles and projects unveiled during the event include the following.

Arcane Immersive Show

The ‘Arcane Immersive Show,’ an interactive performance based on the ‘League of Legends’ universe, is currently running in Shanghai. It was co-produced by Riot Games, Tencent Video, Tencent Games, and Shanghai Media Group (SMG) Live, with participation from the world-renowned immersive theater company Punchdrunk.

Audiences can move through spaces that recreate Piltover and Zaun to experience Jinx and Vi up close. The performance features over 30 live tracks, including ‘Enemy,’ and lasts approximately 120 minutes.

Arena Breakout: Infinite

‘Arena Breakout: Infinite’ announced its Season 5 ‘Distortion’ update. The new ‘Distorted Valley’ mode introduces four special abilities, alongside new PvE content such as ‘No Man’s Land,’ the ‘Warlord Tournament,’ and ‘Boss Rally.’

This season is described as the largest system overhaul since the game’s launch. The title will continue to enhance its realistic visuals and PvPvE extraction shooter mechanics.

Arma Reforger

Bohemia Interactive’s military sandbox simulator ‘Arma Reforger’ announced its version 1.6 update, which adds the new single-player campaign ‘Operation Omega’ and the new map ‘Kolguyev.’

The upcoming 1.7 update will add the FIA Resistance as a playable faction. The new map features a rugged terrain concept designed for both PVP and PvE gameplay.

Animula Nook

The life simulator game ‘Animula Nook’ announced that it has surpassed 8 million global pre-registrations. The event also revealed improvements to the behavior, social, and memory systems, along with a new race called ‘Insoul.’

The game is scheduled for release on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with macOS support planned for the future. Tencent plans to roll out new lifestyle content sequentially through next-generation testing.

Call of Duty: Mobile

‘Call of Duty: Mobile’ announced a collaboration with ‘Persona 5 Royal’ coming this July. The development team also shared plans to improve the matchmaking system and overall user experience.

Local offline community events in China are also scheduled for this summer. Tencent stated that it aims to strengthen the game’s long-term operational foundation through continuous service improvements.

Chaos Zero Nightmare

‘Chaos Zero Nightmare,’ a roguelike deck-building card game developed by Smilegate’s Super Creative, is set to launch in China on May 28, with Tencent Games handling local publishing.

Chinese users will be the first to experience the character ‘Fei,’ based on Eastern mysticism, along with various new deck combinations and content.

CONTROL Resonant

Remedy Entertainment’s new action RPG ‘CONTROL Resonant’ was also revealed. The game is slated for a 2026 release on PC and consoles and will feature the most extensive Chinese localization of any Remedy title to date.

Players will take on the role of Dylan Faden to explore a surreal, transformed Manhattan. Tencent stated that this title aims to enhance the immersive action experience for global users.

Cosmo Tales

The retro-style sci-fi shooter ‘Cosmo Tales’ is scheduled for an early access release this September. In the game, players will pilot a vehicle inspired by the iconic Czech car, the Škoda 1203.

Players will adventure through a colorful sci-fi world, balancing space exploration with combat. Tencent emphasized the game’s unique retro aesthetic and action elements.

DayZ

The open-world survival game ‘DayZ’ announced a new expansion, ‘Badlands.’ It adds a new 267-square-kilometer region, described as the largest map in the game’s history.

The new region features a desolate frontier concept and is designed to further emphasize survival and exploration-focused gameplay.

Delta Force

‘Delta Force’ announced a collaboration with the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Institute. The project involves recreating Ming Dynasty porcelain artifacts as in-game collectibles, with ‘Ducktor Sui,’ based on a tri-colored duck incense burner, revealed as the first item.

Tencent stated that this collaboration aims to provide a new form of digital cultural experience by bridging traditional Chinese craftsmanship with gaming content.

Digital Jingdezhen: Porcelain Craft Adventure

This is a porcelain industry simulator game co-developed by Tencent Games and Jingdezhen cultural institutions. Players start as apprentices and grow into kiln operators, experiencing the history of the Chinese porcelain industry.

The game utilizes AI-based digital humans and AI-generated 3D technology, with a Chinese release scheduled for Q3 2026. Tencent explained that the game is an attempt to combine traditional culture with digital technology.

Era of Ascendancy

The ink-wash style RPG ‘Era of Ascendancy’ unveiled new systems: ‘Dark Cultivation’ and ‘Mystic Extraction.’

Players can absorb the abilities of others through forbidden cultivation methods and explore content based on Bagua and Yin-Yang concepts.

Everwind

The pixel sandbox game ‘Everwind’ announced plans to establish a dedicated operations team for China and add content exclusive to Chinese users.

The development team plans to quickly incorporate feedback from Chinese users, and the game will include Easter eggs specifically for the Chinese community.

Just Dance: Party

‘Just Dance: Party’ is a mobile dance game that utilizes smartphone camera-based motion recognition. It can track full-body movements using only the front-facing camera, without the need for additional equipment.

Players can enjoy dancing with friends anywhere, and the game is scheduled for release in China on July 2.

MagicDawn

MagicDawn announced ‘NDGI’ (Neural Dynamic Global Illumination), a real-time neural network-based global illumination technology, and stated that it will be open-sourced.

The technology supports real-time light source reactions even in dynamic environments, and mobile GPU AI optimization has been conducted in collaboration with Arm.

NIZHAN FUTURE

‘NIZHAN FUTURE,’ a PvE shooter from TiMi Studio Group’s J3 Studio, revealed its future update roadmap.

IP collaborations with ‘Borderlands’ and ‘Langlang Mountain’s Little Monster’ were teased, along with plans to add space combat content.

Tides of Annihilation

Eclipse Glow Games announced that the first hands-on event for ‘Tides of Annihilation’ will take place this summer.

The technical footage released included CPU/GPU optimization, path tracing, and Nanite-based giant knight combat technology. The game is currently in development for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

Warframe

‘Warframe’ unveiled its new update, ‘Jade Shadows: Constellations.’

The event also featured a short animated film covering the update’s backstory. Digital Extremes announced that more information will be released in the future.
