[Taiwan News] Facebook unveils new office in Taipei

Facebook unveiled a new office in Taipei on Thursday. The office is set in Nan Shan Plaza, a new skyscraper in Taipei’s central Xinyi District. It occupies an area of more than 2,400 square-meters.

The interior of the new office is designed to reflect the company’s identity as well as elements of Taiwanese culture. The ceiling of the main office has been deliberately left incomplete to convey to workers that there is always work left to be done. In several other offices, paintings by local artists and Taiwanese icons such as bubble tea are featured.

Several senior Facebook officials attended the office’s opening ceremony. They said they hope the new office will help attract more skilled workers and boost Taiwan’s economy.
