Dublin Airport tease ‘coming very soon’ announcement ahead of ‘double signing’ as fans guess at new addition
DUBLIN Airport have teased another vague “coming very soon” announcement as passengers struggle to figure out the new addition.
Ireland’s top airport revealed a new teaser on social media, hinting that a new addition will be arriving “soon” at one of the terminals – or both.
They said: “The great double signings of all time”.
The post features four pictures, three snaps of two football star players in the United Kingdom getting double signed by one of the popular football clubs.
And the fourth picture features a green background with “coming very soon” text, teasing that something new is coming to the airport.
Passengers quickly discovered that the letter ‘O’ in “coming” is replaced with a black silhouette of the Asia continent.

One holidaymaker wrote: “New routes to Asia incoming?”
Another person added: “It could be two of the following places? New Delhi, Shanghai, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore.
One unimpressed passenger said: “You guys know we have sports played in Ireland too? It’s a bit desperate using English football references all the time.”
Dublin Airport responded: “What’s ‘irony’ in Korean?”
Another passenger quickly caught on that the new addition could be a new Asian food outlet for the terminals due to the mention of Korean language.
He said: “Kimchi is quite irony. It’s the cabbage. Until it’s confirmed otherwise I’m calling new Asian food outlets.”
It is rumoured that Dublin Airport was planning to introduce a new food outlet that is focused on Asian cuisine over the years.
It is unknown when the airport will announce the new arrival, but it is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks as the busy travel season is around the corner.
DUBLIN AIRPORT’S MAJOR UPDATE
Elsewhere, Dublin Airport have given a major new update on game-changing area for avid plane spotters.
The airport have submitted an application to upgrade an area that’s popular with locals and tourists for watching planes come and go.
The proposed development at the The Mound on the Old Airport Road would see a solar-powered Aircraft Observation Facility.
The plans were first submitted in summer of 2024.
Posting on social media Dublin Airport said they are aware of “how much the community wants it” and are continuing to push forward with plans.
‘COMMUNITY WANTS IT’
Officials have said plans are a “step closer” to reaching fruition after additional information was submitted to the planning authority.
They said: “A new viewing facility at Dublin Airport has moved a step closer after we submitted additional information to the planning authority about our plans to revamp The Mound on the Old Airport Road.
“We know how much the community wants it and hope we can get the green light soon.”
The site offers a clear view of the facility’s south runway and cross-wind runway.
Proposed plans include an elevated covered platform with seating, a bike park and a car park with 22 parking spaces.
