THE Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 16,282 elementary teachers out of 34,810 examinees (46.77 percent); and 38,747 secondary teachers out of 62,225 examinees (62.27 percent) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) given last March.

“It is further announced that of the 16,282 elementary teacher passers, 13,819 are first timers and 2,463 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 32,624 passers are first timers and 6,123 are repeaters,” the PRC said.

The following have finished in the top five under the elementary category: 1. Jamaema Hiluano Mustapha – Mindanao State University-Maigo School of Arts and Trades; Raeiden Mohammad Pango – Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (94.60 percent) 2. Nikhar Mae Besar Alegria – Mindanao State University-General Santos City (94.20 percent) 3. Lorijane Francis Magelon Santiago – Visayas State University-Baybay (94 percent) 4. Kyla Mae Enmel Gatab – Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila; Monica May Cruz Napod – Bicol University-Daraga; Nervin John Corminal Vicada – North Eastern Mindanao State University-Main (93.80 percent) 5. Lorrea Elaine Mercado Alcantara – Bulacan State University-Malolos; Revcyl Valderama Calanza – Mindanao State University-General Santos City; Percella Mae Conag – Far Eastern University-Manila; Sherilyn Villacuatro Cordova – Palawan State University; Venus Diane Reces Guerrero – Mindanao State University-General Santos City; Mary Kathyrene Rodriguez Pecasales – University of Southeastern Philippines-Davao City (93.60 percent)

With a score of 93.40 percent, four passers finished in 6th place, five passers ranked 7th (93.20 percent), seven passers clinched 8th place (93 percent), eight passers placed 9th (92.80 percent) and eight passers round the top 10 (92.60 percent).

Meanwhile, the following ranked the top five under the secondary education or high school category: 1. Jeanlyn Guinita Colipano – Cebu Technological University-Danao (93.80 percent) 2. Sofia Cueto Atienza – University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman; Floyd Dumandan Bandalan – University of Mindanao-Tagum; Leejane Planas Cogollogo – Mindanao State University-Panabo; John Reynor Betito Pionilla – UP Los Baños (93.60 percent) 3. Jemima Keziah Natividad Castro – Davao de Oro College-Main; Irene Fe Cabual Navea – University of Mindanao-Tagum (93.40 percent) 4. Ma. Carmel Belardo Delada – Carlos C. Hilado Memorial State University-Talisay; Jacob Duran Facultad – Philippine Normal University-Visayas; Stephanie Ruth Aposacas Ocampo – Samar State University (93.20 percent) 5. Six passers finished in sixth place (92.80 percent), 13 passers clinched 7th (92.60 percent), 10 passers placed 8th (92.40 percent), eight passers finished 9th (92.20 percent) and 17 passers placed 10th (92 percent) to round up the top 10.

A full list of all the passers and the top 10 for both exams can be found on the PRC website and Facebook page. The results were published 41 days after the final day of the exams.

“The results of examination with respect to 57 examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations,” the PRC said.

Both elementary and secondary versions of the LEPT were taken last March 23 in 38 testing centers across the country.

In addition, the PRC also announced that 602 out of 799 examinees (75.34 percent) passed the Chemical Engineering Licensure Examinations (CHELE), which was taken on Wednesday to Friday.

Results were released on the final day of examinations on Friday. The following are the top 10 passers of this licensure examination: 1. Dexter Construas Mas – Eastern Visayas State University-Tacloban; Micah Angelica Estabillo Pascua – UP Los Baños; Jalen Stephen Rivera Santos – UP Diliman (87.20 percent) 5.Errol John Elizondo Suarez – DLSU-Manila (87 percent) 6. Yuuki Navarro Nerio – Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (86.90 percent) 7. Polo Jerome Gabo Daquipil – UP Los Baños; Aloysius Gerard Manalo Lubi – DLSU-Manila (86.70 percent) 8. Adrian Paul Bolasoc Gutierrez – Adamson University; Roby Yzel Evangelista Katipunan – Mapua University-Manila; Jessarine Joy Cadiz Ramos – UP Los Baños (86.60 percent) 9. Results of the CHELE were released after the LEPT on Friday.

This exam was taken from May 21 to 23 in testing centers in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena and Rosales.
