A woman touring the UK in pursuit of its most picturesque spots has recently shone a spotlight on an exquisite Cornish beach. Cornwall, renowned for its stunning coastlines and natural beauty, attracts visitors from across Britain and further afield.

The county is a cherished destination for British holidaymakers, celebrated for its dramatic coastline, beautiful beaches, thriving surf culture, and landmarks such as the Eden Project and Tintagel Castle. During the summer, tourists flock to the county for coastal adventures with partners, family, or friends, and Cornwall consistently delivers on expectations, reports the Mirror.

Lizzy Parkin, a travel blogger hailing from the Cotswolds, took to TikTok to broadcast her latest find along the Cornish coast.

She said: “I’m on a mission to find places across the UK that make people say ‘I can’t believe this is the UK’ because as Brits, me included, we love to be negative about our own home.

“But I’m trying to change that by sharing places that are undeniably beautiful, and we’re starting strong with a spot near Penzance in Cornwall.”

Lizzy continued: “This gem of a beach looks straight out of Majorca or Ibiza if you ask me, though the water is a little colder.”

She noted it’s “located on the most beautiful coastal path”, but warned that the descent isn’t the simplest, involving a “short scramble” to access the beach.

As a result, she recommended anyone planning a visit should proceed with caution.

Lizzy described the scenery en route to the secluded Pedn Vounder Beach, tucked away near Treen village, as “absolutely unreal”.

The beach is set amidst the cliffs of Treryn Dinas, and is celebrated for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine sand. Although it’s famed as one of West Cornwall’s most well-known spots for naturism, Lizzy said when she visited most people were wearing swimsuits, and signage indicated that it’s not strictly a nudist beach.

According to Cornwall Beaches, Pedn Vounder is situated at the eastern stretch of Porthcurno cove, with the iconic Logan Rock – a giant granite boulder precariously positioned atop Treen’s cliff tops – resting on the headland to the east.

Lizzy’s TikTok video capturing Pedn Vounder Beach’s stunning beauty has amassed 412,000 views, 45,000 likes, and over 200 comments to date.

One viewer said: “Pedn Vounder is the best beach in the UK. Took my breath away when I first saw it recently. As good as any beach anywhere in the world.”
