A 38-year-old Indian man allegedly stole goods worth lakhs of rupees from multiple shops at Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport. Remarkably, after committing the theft, he boarded his flight and left the country undetected, with no immediate reports of the missing items. However, upon his return to Singapore, local authorities apprehended him and took him into custody.

As reported by The Straits Times, the man targeted around 14 stores at the airport and stole goods, including perfumes, cosmetics and bags, worth approximately 5,136 Singapore Dollars (SGD), which is equivalent to around Rs 3.5 lakh. The 38-year-old was arrested by the authorities upon his return on June 1, as stated by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in a press release shared on Wednesday, July 23.
