PBA postpones Sunday twin bill due to super typhoon Uwan

MANILA, Philippines — The PBA has postponed the Sunday twin bill featuring Barangay Ginerba going up against Titan Ultra and the Magnolia-TNT collision slated at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal.
The league decided to halt the Philippine Cup games due to the entry of super typhoon Uwan, which is tipped by PAGASA to hit a big portion of Luzon this Sunday.
“In light of the incoming Super Typhoon Uwan, and with the safety of our fans, players, officials, and staff as our top priority, the PBA has decided to POSTPONE its Sunday, November 9 games: TNT Tropang 5G vs. Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel vs. Titan Ultra Giant Risers,” the PBA said in an official statement posted at its social media accounts.
“Please stand by for the updated schedule of games, which will be announced soon through our official channels. The PBA urges everyone to take all necessary precautions and stay safe during the typhoon.”
The Hotshots are coming off a tough 92-94 loss to the defending champion San Miguel on Friday in a defeat that dropped them to a tie for third to fifth spots with the Beermen and the NLEX Road Warriors at 4-2.
The Tropang 5G currently share the leadership with Rain or Shine at 5-1.
Ginebra meanwhile, ha: struggled in its first five matches this season, sporting a 2-3 record, just half game ahead of Titan Ultra. RICHARD DY
