PH ice hockey team to see action in World Championships

MANILA,Philippines — The Philippine men’s national ice hockey team will be taking part in the upcoming 2026 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships, Division III, Group B in Hong Kong in April.
Hockey Philippines announced their participation in the annual meet through a story on their Instagram and Facebook pages late on Monday.
Apart from the Philippine team, North Korea, Mongolia, Singapore, and hosts Hong Kong are also expected to take part.
Meanwhile, the sports federation was calling for applications for a head coach and a goaltending coach for the national team.
“This position plays a vital role in upholding the federation’s standards and advancing the sustainable development of our ice hockey program,” Hockey Philippines said.
The national team last took the ice at the recent Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, having won the bronze medal. ARIC JOHN SY CUA
