Get ready to celebrate Uday and Majnu bhai fans! Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor have reportedly agreed to reprise their iconic roles for Welcome 4. The pair however would be missing from the third installment of the hit Welcome franchise – Welcome To The Jungle – which will hit the theatres on June. As per a Mid-Day report not just Kapoor and Patekar – Paresh Rawal will also return as Dr Ghungroo in Welcome 4.

Rawal himself appeared to acknowledge the news on social media. Sharing the report through his account on X, he reacted positively and signaled his approval with a short celebratory remark accompanied by a folded-hands emoji. His response further fueled anticipation among followers who have been eager to see the original trio reunite.

Actor Suniel Shetty, who is part of the cast of Welcome to the Jungle and also appeared briefly in the first film directed by Anees Bazmee, also expressed his excitement online. In his message shared on X, he suggested that amid all the confusion and unpredictability in the entertainment world, certain announcements simply feel perfect. He described the return of Patekar, Kapoor, and Rawal as the revival of the original spirit of the Welcome universe. According to Shetty, the trio represents the core energy of the franchise, and their distinctive comic style is difficult for anyone else to replicate. He added that it was wonderful to see the actors returning to the series that made their characters so iconic.
Meanwhile, Welcome to the Jungle takes the franchise in a different direction with a massive ensemble cast. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the film features performers such as Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Mika Singh, Daler Mehndi, and Farida Jalal.
