AirJapan officially announced the end of its Bangkok service on Monday, but promised to keep in touch with past passengers in other ways.

The low-cost airline used its Thai Facebook page to thank passengers using the airline on the Bangkok-Narita airport route, the day after its final flight from Suvarnabhumi airport landed at Tokyo’s Narita airport.

AirJapan flight NQ2 left Bangkok at 1.18am on Sunday and landed in Tokyo at 8.19am local time after a 5-hour flight.

AirJapan will cease all operations from Wednesday. Its parent company, ANA Group, will reallocate the aircraft for use by All Nippon Airways, helping expand the main carrier’s international presence.

AirJapan, however, said its Facebook Thailand page will continue to keep followers up to date with the activities of its former aircrew, along with other tips related to the airline, despite having no planes in service.
