A woman on a journey to find the most beautiful places in the UK recently highlighted a beach in Cornwall. There’s no denying that Cornwall has some stunning beaches and natural scenery that tourists travel hours to get to.

People from across Britain visit the southwest England county and it also attracts international tourists. Cornwall is a popular holiday destination in the UK for its stunning coastline, picturesque beaches and surfing culture, as well as attractions, like the Eden Project and Tintagel Castle. Brits love to enjoy beach days as couples or with family and friends in the summer, and Cornwall can offer plenty.

Travel blogger Lizzy Parkin, from the Cotswolds, posted a video on TikTok about her experience visiting one of Cornwall’s many beaches.

She firstly explained: “I’m on a mission to find places across the UK that make people say ‘I can’t believe this is the UK’ because as Brits, me included, we love to be negative about our own home but I’m trying to change that by sharing places that are undeniably beautiful and we’re starting strong with a spot near Penzance in Cornwall.”

Lizzy added: “This gem of a beach looks straight out of Majorca or Ibiza if you ask me, though the water is a little colder.”

She further noted that it is “located on the most beautiful coastal path” but warned that the walk down isn’t very easy and there’s a “short scramble” before you get to the beach so she urged viewers to be careful if they decide to visit this spot.

The travel fan described the views on the walk down to the beach as “absolutely unreal” and revealed that it is called Pedn Vounder Beach, located near the village of Treen in Cornwall.

Pedn Vounder is set among the cliffs of Treryn Dinas with crystal clear turquoise water and a white sand beach.

According to Cornwall Beaches, it is also West Cornwall’s best-known naturist beach but in the comment section of her TikTok post Lizzy mentioned that she mostly saw people in swimsuits and a sign before you walk down indicates that it is not a fully nude beach.

Cornwall Beaches details that Pedn Vounder is located at the eastern end of the bay that makes up Porthcurno cove and the headland to the east of the beach is where the famous Logan Rock can be found, a heavy block of granite naturally balanced on the cliff tops of Treen.

Lizzy’s TikTok video showing the beauty of Pedn Vounder Beach has garnered 411,000 views, 45,000 likes and more than 200 comments, at the time of writing.

One user exclaimed: “Pedn Vounder is the best beach in the UK. Took my breath away when I first saw it recently. As good as any beach anywhere in the world!”

Another said: “Just got back from Thailand and Pedn Vounder was as beautiful as.”

A third commented: “I can’t believe this is the UK!!! Wow.” A fourth chimed in: “Okay but I can’t believe this is the UK.”
