Ishiba expressed readiness to consult with Trump following a briefing by Japan’s chief trade negotiator, Ryosei Akazawa, who is engaged in talks in Washington. Ishiba emphasized the necessity of maintaining political continuity amid crucial challenges for Japan’s export-driven economy.
