EU-backed “From Our Farms to Your Table” campaign launched in Manila

European poultry producers see certification as the key to building trust and market access in the Philippines. This message took center stage during the August 7 launch of “European Poultry – From Our Farms to Your Table”, a three-year campaign by the European Union and the Embassy of Poland.

Ms. Kamila Cicherska-Borońska, quality certification expert, explained how internationally recognized systems — HACCP, GMP/GHP, ISO 22000, IFS Food, BRC, and Halal — ensure European poultry complies with the highest safety and quality standards worldwide.

“These certifications are our passport to global markets. They assure Filipino importers, retailers, and consumers that our poultry meets the most demanding requirements,” she said.

Mr. Dariusz Goszczyński, President of the National Poultry Council – Chamber of Commerce, added that certification also aligns with local regulations.

“Our systems guarantee that poultry exported to the Philippines comes only from disease-free areas and is produced under strict veterinary supervision,” he said.

The campaign’s presence at WOFEX Manila 2025 from August 6–9 serves as a platform to connect with Philippine stakeholders, discuss trade opportunities, and share the EU’s approach to quality assurance.
