Amaal Mallik opened up about the passing of Zubeen Garg nearly two weeks after coming out of Bigg Boss 19. On Sunday, the music composer and singer held a Q&A session with fans on social media when he reflected on the unfortunate incident.

During the fan interaction session on X, one user asked Amaal, “Did you get to know about Zubeen Da’s death? Assam has lost a true gem, Amaal. To which the Bigg Boss 19 finalist replied, “Yes. I just got to know 2 days ago and was very disturbed by it!”

While Amaal was inside the Bigg Boss’ house, the music industry lost a precious gem. On September 19, Zubeen tragically died in Singapore at the age of 52. He passed away while swimming in the sea without a life jacket. He was administered CPR and rushed to Singapore General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The entire nation grieved the loss of the legendary musician. On Thursday, the Singapore Police Force released a press statement where they eliminated any possibility of foul play in his death.

After finishing Bigg Boss 19 as a finalist, Amaal Mallik reunited with his father, Daboo Malik. The father-son duo was seen sharing a heartwarming moment in a recent social media post.

In the picture the doting father was seen laying a peck on Amaal’s cheek and called it “A Lifetime in a Moment.” The tender moment quickly gained attention, especially in the wake of Amaal’s stint on the reality show.

Amaal Mallik Is Not ‘Afraid’ To Speak His ‘Truth’

On the show, Amaal was seen candidly opening up about his family’s struggles. In a recent interview with IANS, he reflected on his decision to open up about personal stuff on national television.

“If someone asks me about my entire journey, I will answer honestly. I’m not afraid to speak my truth,” he shared. “People worry about their image or their following. I don’t.

If I’m telling my story, I will tell it fully. Some things my parents felt I could have said differently—naturally, their perspective is different from mine. They weren’t living inside that house. But I spoke from my heart,” he added.

During the show, Amaal had spoken about his family’s financial hardships, his relationship with his parents, and his personal struggles.
